Falconry

California Hawking Club

 The California Hawking Club is the largest state falconry group in the US. They hold their annual meet around the second week of January. Their website contains a lot of useful links for veterinary care and other services. Their quarterly newsletter is second to none in visual quality.

North American Falconers Association

 NAFA is the national falconry group. Annual meets are held at various locations in the US, usually in mid-November. If you are a serious falconer, you should seriously consider joining.

This is the website of the National Animal Poison Control Center. It includes a library, links to other sites, and phone numbers for the poison control center.

A lot of information about toxic plants can be found here. You can search under common name or scientific name of the plant.

Pet Bird Clubs & Rescue Groups

Alaska Bird Club

ABC holds monthly meetings and periodic seminars to educate bird owners and provide a network for trading knowledge. They also rescue lost pet birds. They are based in Anchorage, Alaska.

Anchorage Chapter of Parrot Education and Adoption Center (PEAC).

 This organization helps find new homes for pet birds. They also host classes and educational seminars to train new and experienced bird owners. If you live in Anchorage and have a bird, check them out!

Gabriel Foundation

These folks are great! Very dedicated to the education of veterinarians and bird owners. Purchases from their store help fund their work!
